Mix bell pepper chopped, chopped onion, chopped tomato, corn, grated cheese, pepper, chaat masala and oregano to make the stuffing and keep aside.
In a wide vessel mix the mashed potatoes with chilli flakes, carom seeds, coriander leaves and salt.
Now divide the mashed potatoes into apricot sized balls.
Take one ball and flatten it.
Put a small amount of cheese stuffing to the middle of the flattened potato disc then bring all the edges together to form a ball shape.
Similarly prepare all the Cheese balls.
Grease the appam maker with little oil. Now put the vadas in each of the moulds and put the maker on low flame. If you don't have an appam maker, then this can be prepared in a pan as well by shallow frying. Only thing then it will be more like tikki in shape than balls.
Cook one side of the Cheese Balls on low flame. When the Cheese Balls get golden brown, flip to the other side and cook well.
Once the balls are cooked properly from both sides, turn off the flame. and serve the Appe Balls with ketchup.
